Office Desk Makeover - Americana Inspired

I have been busy these last two weeks working on my office/homeschool room makeover and I had the privilege to participate in "The Fab Furniture Flippin Contest" this month. The theme this month is Americana inspired and CeCe Caldwell's is a fabulous sponsor. I love
CeCe Caldwell's because it is all American made. Their products are eco and health friendly as well. Their mineral paints contains no toxics and they have a fabulous line of chalk and clay paints, enhancements, finishes and stain+finishes. As a participant in this contest, I received free products, but all the opinions are entirely my own. This post contains sponsored links for CeCe Callwell's Paints

They have gorgeous colors, but one paint color spoke to me and I went with California Gold! My finish is a new product called Flat Matte. The flat matte has no gloss.

I've had my desk for over 5 years and couldn't decide what color to paint my desk till now.

This gorgeous color makes my office/homeschool room have a warm feel. I love it! I didn't need to do any prepping or priming, so I went straight to painting. This paint has a great texture and consistency which made this project so easy to do. The paint went on smoothly and dried quickly. It only took two coats. Once the paint dried I sanded the desk and focused heavily distressing the edges. The final step I applied the flat matte. The flat matte went on easily and was very quick drying.

Here is my Americana Inspired desk. The color looks gorgeous against the black, and the warm feel of this color is amazing.

I am enjoying my desk and I am so happy I was able to give it new life. If you love gold warm tones I recommend CeCe Caldwell's California Gold.

I want to thank CeCe Caldwell's Paints for providing their excellent products for this contest. I also would like to thank the ladies over at Fab Furniture Flipping Contest ™ for this amazing challenge.
