This tutorial is a side track to my schedules tutorials. Yes, I have a calendar for all my DIY projects and post. I just started this in April and what a differences. It helps me stay on track, because I am a bit OCD. I don't have an update on my Chair frenzy, but I found inspiration on this next project and wanted to share with you all. Back in October, 2011 I did a wall art and today I am going to show you my latest wall art creation.
I had this rooster dish towel and I wanted to use it as my wall art. |
Added a single layer of batting. |
I used thumb tacks to hold the dish towel in place. Voile! |
I am changing things around in my kitchen and I have this vision of how I want it to look. I still have to paint, change out the mirror and fix my dining table. Lots to do, but it will get done. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend. I LOVE your SWEET comments, so drop me a line.
Hugs,
Vanessa
I love this! Very creative to use a towel as art!
ReplyDeleteHi Vanessa~!
ReplyDeleteI love what you did! Super creative and it turned out great!
So ironic you did roosters, because I'm totally just getting into roosters too! I did a post (with a few pictures) just a few minutes ago, about some new rooster things I bought within the last week!
I hope you have a great weekend sweet Vanessa! And thanks for the blog comments! :)
I love this idea... Roosters are one my favorite Kitchen Decor. Thanks for sharing...

This is such a cute idea, Vanessa! I have a set of 2 dishtowels with a single image of almost the exact same rooster & hen. I had been thinking they were just way too cute to use as dishtowels & wouldn't want to risk them actually getting used if I tried displaying them. I just may have to copy your idea. Thanks so much for sharing!

I have some lovely towels I've not been willing to use in the kitchen and actually thought of making skirts with them, but this idea is also quite appealing!! Lovely project Vanessa!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Vanessa! I have a few pretty dish towels that I like to display as well.
